We like rolling on 24 or 26 inch wheels here at pushingthelimits, with big gnarly mountain bike tires to make sure if we do hit someone’s toes then it going to be a job well done. The new-school breed of wheelers such as Aaron Fotheringham  are making wheelchairs tools for “extreme sitting” in the urban environment and getting their kicks in ever new and inventive ways. When you think of wheelchair skateboarding I bet you think of a guy strapped into a wheelchair wheeling around a skate park, well maybe, but this dude [...]

If you want to live on the more adventurous or exciting side of life then being in a wheelchair is no obstacle at all. OK, so changing light-bulbs is little tricky from a wheelchair, but household chores are over-rated and that's why the head-torch was invented anyway.

One for the petrol-heads. The Martin Conquest is a 1130cc, 83bhp motorbike tricycle with a rear ramp to allow a wheelchair user to mount up and take to the open road while still in their wheelchair. No word on if it has a stereo system so you can blare out 'Born To Be Wild' while cruising country lanes though.

Sure, we have all dreamt of a wheelchair auto-pilot to help us get back from the bar after one too many, but a new development in Europe is making our pipe-dreams closer to reality than ever before. The MAIA BCI not only converts signals emitted by the brain into actions — such moving a wheelchair forward [...]

There are a couple options for powering your wheelchair of choice, electric or arms. OK, so you can be fancy and get some power assisted wheels to help you out after one too many beers or that annoying SCI injury, but when it comes down to it there aren’t too many options. Filling that void is [...]

This is a screenshot from Apple Mac's dictionary that has been going around the internet, seems that if users search the thesaurus for "observe" (like everyone does, routinely) the sentance used to show usage of the verb talks about a wheelchair dude waiting in a vestibule.
