We like making things, lets face it even just having  game of basketball in a wheelchair requires a special chair that’ll probably cost thousands, so being able to make things at home that let us feed our inner desire to risk life and limb, without going bankrupt, is pretty cool.

Instructables is a great website that has user submitted tutorials on how to make everything from homemade tazers to compost bins. So when we saw an instructable on how to make a really cheap, but fun looking, skateboard sail we immediately saw the possibilities for a wind powered wheelchair.

Made from little more than cheap plastic piping, a sheet of PVC and some Duct tape, this thing is definitely one way that someone in a wheelchair could beat rising fuel prices.
